The Government of Canada has announced a new National Heat Pump Rebate to help eligible homeowners switch to electric heat pumps.
Under the announced program, eligible households below median income may receive up to $10,000, while other eligible homeowners may receive $2,000. The rebate is intended for qualifying electric cold-climate air-source heat pumps included on the government’s eligible products list. It is designed to work alongside provincial programs, subject to each program’s rules.
